Kenwood Park encompasses about 600 households, from River Road to Maiden Lane, and Radnor Road to Whittier and Clearwood.

We feed into two public elementary schools, Burning Tree and Bradley Hills. We are part of the Whitman cluster, served by Pyle Middle School and Whitman High School. All of these schools have very active PTAs and are consistently ranked as some of the best in Montgomery County and the nation.

Trash pickup is Thursday unless a public holiday occurs during the week, then it is shifted to Friday. The trash should be out before early morning. Yard clippings, recyclables (paper and glass/metal), and trash are picked up separately. The county supplies a rolling bin for paper and a carrier bin for glass/metal. Yard clippings will not be picked up unless they are in paper bags or in a Yard Trim can.

The county will pick up metal and large loads such as old refrigerators, lawn furniture, etc. for free four times a year. So paying to remove old appliances or water heaters is not necessary if you can get them to the curb. To schedule such a special pickup, call the county by 11 A.M. on the day before the usual pickup day (Thursday) at 240-777-6410.
